West Ham initiate contact over signing 22-year-old – Tempted by transfer after manager strife

Arthur Theate moved to Bologna on loan from Oostende last summer, with the switch set to be made permanent for around €6.5m.

Corriere di Bologna report that the confirmation of a full transfer won’t mean Theate is staying with the Serie A side. They’re prepared to sell this summer, and the player himself is tempted by a transfer after his relationship with manager Sinisa Mihajlovic, became ‘a bit turbulent’.

According to the newspaper report, West Ham United and AS Roma have made contact over the potential signing, with Inter Milan also interested should Alessandro Bastoni leave them in the next market.

There’s not much more from Corriere di Bologna about West Ham interest, or exactly how much David Moyes’ side would be asked to pay for the defender.

The same report also says Bologna are keen on Alex Kral, who is set to leave West Ham after finishing his loan with the club.

The midfielder is owned by Spartak Moscow, and had been expected to join Fenerbahce, but the two clubs are finding it hard to agree a deal.
